(I admit this is snarky, but here it goes…)
We don’t need a leader who doesn’t take what (s)he dishes out.
We don’t need a leader who resorts to insults when questioned about inconsistencies.
We don’t need a leader who won’t apologize when shown to be wrong.
We don’t need a leader who claims credit for what others did.
We need a leader who is humble, a team-builder and a unifier, who can transcend either-or thinking and refuses to demonize or scapegoat. We need a leader with humble integrity, more now than ever.
Our current leader could rise to the challenge and become truly a great leader—the opportunity is staring him in the face—but I have no real hopes of it happening.
(OK, dropping the snark…)
May I learn to be the leader I would hope to be.
